Central Bank names David E. Barkman Vice President

Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton Jr., has announced the promotion of David E. Barkman to vice president-collections manager.

Mr. Barkman joined Central Bank in 1989 as human resources officer. He later became a consumer lending officer before joining the Collections Department in 1996. Mr. Barkman's day-to-day activities include managing the bank's installment and credit card collection operations.

A Lexington native, David is a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and Eastern Kentucky University receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. He later received diplomas in General Banking, Consumer Lending and Commercial Lending from the American Institute of Banking.

An active member of the community, David is a member of the Lexington Art League and Mayfest Festival Committee.

David and his wife Susan live in Nicholasville.
