Central Investment Center Names Fields as Financial Advisor

Central Bank Chairman, President and CEO, Luther Deaton Jr., has announced the appointment of Jeff Fields as Financial Advisor for the bank's full service brokerage department, Central Investment Center, Inc.

Mr. Fields' day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating investment goals for clients and achieving those goals through a wide range of investment products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities and IRAs. His area of focus is financial planning. He will be stationed at the bank's downtown location at 300 West Vine Street.

A native of Lexington, Mr. Fields is a graduate of Lafayette High School and Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. An active member of the community, Jeff is an Elder of the Pilgrim Bible Assembly and a Seminar Instructor for Walk thru the Bible.

Jeff and his wife, Teresa, have six children, Landry, Jonathan, Angela, Troy, Josiah and Dawson and they live in Lexington.

Central Investment Center, Inc., is a subsidiary of Central Bank which is owned by Central Bancshares, Inc. which operates a total of 19 full service banking centers, 24 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott and Bath counties. As of December 31, 2002, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.121 billion.
