Central Bank names Jeff D. Jacob Vice President

Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton Jr., has announced the promotion of Jeff D. Jacob as vice president-security officer.

Jeff joined Central Bank in 1988. His current responsibilities include protection of assets and retention of the bank's profits, develop security programs and investigate criminal acts against the bank.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Jacob received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Police Administration.

Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares, Inc. which operates a total of 19 full service banking centers, 24 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott and Bath counties. As of December 31, 2002, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.121 billion.
