Central Bank Names Charles N. Rush Jr. Vice President

Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton Jr., has announced the promotion of Charles N. Rush Jr. as vice president-business development officer for the bank's Wealth Management Group.

Charlie joined Central Bank in 2001 having worked in investment management, employee benefit services, strategic planning and client relations. His current responsibilities include developing new business for the bank's Wealth Management Group in addition to conducting enrollment meetings for new and existing retirement plans.

A native of Louisville, Mr. Rush graduated from University of Kentucky earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Marketing.

Charlie, his wife Martina and their three children, Cari, Christopher and Corey, currently live in Lexington.

Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares, Inc. which operates a total of 19 full service banking centers, 24 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott and Bath counties. As of December 31, 2002, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.121 billion.
