Central Investment Center Names Ginnan Vice President

Lexington, KY -- Luther Deaton, Jr., chairman, president & CEO, Central Bank, has announced the appointment of Jeff Ginnan as vice president and senior financial advisory.

Central Investment Center is a wholly-owned subsidiary, providing investment brokerage services to Central Kentucky.

Mr. Ginnan currently heads Central Investment Center at his office at 300 West Vine Street in Lexington. His responsibilities include evaluating investment goals for clients and achieving those goals through a wide range of investment products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities and IRAs. Jeff's area of focus is financial planning.

Central Investment Center, Inc., is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares, Inc. which operates a total of 19 full service banking centers, 24 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott and Bath counties. As of December 31, 2002, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.121 billion.
