Central Bank Names Karen A. Burton Assistant Vice President

Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton Jr., has announced the promotion of Karen A. Burton to assistant vice president-retail banking.

Ms. Burton joined Central Bank in 1984 as a teller. She later was promoted to personal banker, assistant manager and manager and retail officer of the Tates Creek banking center before her current promotion. Her day to day responsibilities include overseeing the Tates Creek Road banking center with it's business development, consumer and commercial loans, coaching, sales, staff management and community involvement.

Karen and her husband Tony have three boys, Carson, Clay and Connor and they live in Midway.

Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares, Inc. which operates a total of 19 full service banking centers, 24 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott and Bath counties. As of December 31, 2002, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.119 billion.
