Central Bank Announces Staff Promotions and Hires

Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton, Jr., has announced the following staff promotions and new hires:

Julie Bondra executive vice presidenttechnology services
Barry Hickey senior vice presidenttrust department manager
Rita Bugg vice presidentprivate banking officer
David L. Ransdell vice presidentretail banking
Kathryn Wilson vice presidenttrust officer
Donna Turner assistant vice presidentdocumentation officer
Rachel Richards technology services officer

Julie Bondra joined Central Bank in 2002 as senior vice president. Ms. Bondra’s responsibilities include strategic and tactical technology planning as well as supporting the implementation, function and delivery of all information systems for the entire bank.

A native of Bradford, Pennsylvania, Ms. Straub graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics/Actuarial & Computer Science.

Julie and her husband Ken live in Lexington.


 

Barry Hickey joins Central Bank, bringing more than twenty five years of banking and trust experience. A native of Mt. Sterling, Mr. Hickey graduated from Montgomery County High School before receiving his business administration degree in marketing from the University of Kentucky. He later attended the Canon Trust School.

An active member of the community, Mr. Hickey is the Treasurer and Board Member of the Providence Montessori School. He is also a past director of the Bluegrass Estate Planning Council.

Barry and his wife Billie have three children, Lauren, J.T. and Will and they live in Lexington.


 

Rita Bugg joins Central Bank, bringing more than twenty eight years of banking experience. A native of Paris, Kentucky, Ms. Bugg graduated from Paris High School before receiving her business administration degree in accounting from the Kentucky Business College. She graduated from The Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University, the Canon Trust School, the Southeast Trust School and the Kentucky Bank Management Institute at Western Kentucky University.

An active member of the community, Ms. Bugg is a member of the Winchester Rotary Club and the Greater Faith Church in Lexington. She was was previously the treasurer and chairperson of the Winchester, Clark County United Way of the Bluegrass.

Rita and her husband Royce have two children, Neil and Scott and they live in Paris.


 

David Ransdell joined Central Bank in 2001 as the retail officer of the bank’s Nicholasville Road banking center – a position he will continue to hold.

Mr. Ransdell’s responsibilities will include overseeing the Nicholasville Road Banking Center with its business development, consumer and commercial loans, coaching, sales, staff management and community involvement.

A native of Lexington, Ransdell graduated from Bellermine College with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Credit Management.

David and his wife Joni currently live in Lexington.


 

A native of Cynthiana, Kentucky, Kathy Wilson is a graduate of Harrison County High School and Northern Kentucky University receiving her bachelor’s degree in management. She later received her Juris Doctorate (law) from Salmon P. Chase College of Law before attending the Canon Trust School and Northwestern Graduate Trust School.

An active member of the community, Ms. Wilson is a board member with the Central Kentucky Planned Giving Council in addition to being on the membership committee. She is also a member of the Bluegrass Estate Planning Council.

Kathryn lives in Lexington.


 

Donna Turner joined the bank in 1993, as a teller. She later became a personal banker, retail manager before becoming the supervisor of the bank’s loan processing department in January 2000. Donna was promoted to documentation officer in December 2001.

Donna's day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing the Loan Processing Department, which completes all commercial loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance, reviewing closed loan packages and placing them on Central Bank's computer system.

A native of Paris, Kentucky, Donna graduated from Bourbon County High School and the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration/Finance. Donna currently lives in Lexington.


 

Ms. Richards joined Central Bank in 2001 as the help desk coordinator bringing more than 10 years of technology support experience to the bank. She has since held positions such as systems administrator and decision support analyst before this latest promotion. Her responsibilities include providing day to day managerial and operational oversight to support the planning and deployment of hardware, software, network and specialized application systems.

A native of West Liberty, Ms. Richards is a graduate of Tates Creek High School and Lexington Community College.

Rachel and her husband King live in Lexington.
