Central Bank supports local Tsunami Aid Effort

Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton, Jr., along with Shelia Bayes of Shelia's Fine Jewelry and Kelly Knight of Knight & Wahle Orthodontics, announced "With one Heart", an effort to raise money for an orphanage for the children of Sri Lanka devested during last year's tsunami.

Mr. Deaton, Ms. Bayes and Ms. Knight announced the effort at a joint press conference at the bank's headquarters in Lexington. Also in attendance and pledging their support was Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher and his wife Glenna, Lexington Mayor Teresa Issac, country music star John Michael Montgomery and his wife Crystal and Win Star Farms Chairman and Co-Owner, Bill Casner.

Central Bank has agreed to sell "With one Heart" Tshirts and wristbands at all seventeen Central Kentucky locations with 100% of the proceeds being utilized to the direct benefit of those children in need. Tshirts are $10 and the wristbands are $2.50. In addition, shirts and bands can be purchased at Shelia's Fine Jewelry in the Lexington Civic Center Shops, Hands on Originals at 419 South Broadway and Knight & Wahle Orthodontics at 2533 Larkin Road.
