Gregory M. Shewmaker joins Central Bank

Gregory M. Shewmaker Lexington, KY. -- Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton, Jr., has announced the appointment of Gregory M. Shewmaker to senior vice president-private banking manager

Mr. Shewmaker joins Central Bank, bringing more than twenty years of banking experience. He is a graduate of Lexington Community College, Kentucky School of Banking, Graduate School of Banking and The Cannon Trust School.

An active member of the community, Mr. Shewmaker is involved with several community organizations including: Board Member, The American Heart Association; Treasurer, South Lexington Youth Baseball; Coach, South Lexington Youth Baseball; and an Elder with Hill ‘n Dale Christian Church.

Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares Inc. which operates a total of 19 full service banking centers, 25 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jessamine and Scott counties. As of September 30, 2004, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.290 billion.
