Central Bank names Darin L. Young Vice President

Louisville, KY. -- Central Bank chairman, president and CEO, Luther Deaton, Jr., has announced the appointment of Darin L. Young , vice president – commercial lending officer.

Mr. Young joins Central Bank bringing over nineteen years of banking experience. Mr. Young's responsibilities will include commercial relationship management and business development for the Metro Louisville area.

An active member of the community, Mr. Young is a Board Member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Bridgehaven, Project Warm and a deacon at Walnut Street Baptist Church.

Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares Inc. which operates a total of 22 full service banking centers, 27 ATMs, a mortgage office and insurance agency in Clark, Fayette, Jefferson, Jessamine, Scott and Bath counties. As of March 31, 2005, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.352 billion.
