Central Bank names Edward Barnes Senior Vice President
Central Bank Chairman, President and CEO, Luther Deaton Jr., has announced the promotion of Edward Barnes to Senior Vice President-Financial Planning.
Mr. Barnes has 27 years of accounting and financial experience. His day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing perparation of internal and external financial reports for both Central Bank & Central Bancshares.
A native of Monticello, Kentucky, Barnes graduated from Wayne County High School and Morehead State University receiving his Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He later graduated from the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking and the Kentucky Bank Management Institute.
Edward, his wife Janet and their two children, Lori and Lindsey, currently lives in Georgetown.
Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares Inc., which currently operates a total of 23 full service banking centers, 29 ATMs, two mortgage offices, an insurance agency and an investment office in Bath, Boone, Clark, Fayette, Jefferson, Jessamine, Madison, and Scott counties. As of March 31, 2006, Central Bancshares’ total assets were $1.672 billion.
