Central Bank Appoints Three New Senior Vice Presidents

Central Bank Chairman, President and CEO, Luther Deaton, Jr., has announced the promotion of Karen Crawley, Robin Michul, and Laura Schweitzer to Senior Vice President.

Ms. Crawley has been with Central Bank since 1977. She has held numerous positions in Item Processing and Data Center Operations and officer positions such as Operations Officer, Assistant Vice President, and Vice President of Data Processing. Her responsibilities include Data Center Operations, Office Automation, Item Processing, Remittance Processing, and Mail Room Operations.

Ms. Crawley is a native of Nicholasville, Kentucky and is a graduate of Kentucky College of Business receiving an Associates Degree in Business Management. In addition, she is a graduate of Kentucky Schools of Banking General Banking School. Crawley is ICP certified which designates her as an Item Capture Professional.

Mrs. Michul has been with Central Bank for 29 years and has held many positions at the bank. Her day-to-day responsibilities include the overall administration and management of Card Services and CentralNet Internet Banking. Mrs. Michul also recommends, develops, and implements new card and internet banking products.

A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Michul graduated from George Washington High School and the University of Kentucky receiving her Bachelor's degree in Science. She later graduated from the Kentucky Banker's Association.

Robin and her husband, Kenneth, currently reside in Lexington. They have two sons, Jacob and John.

Mrs. Schweitzer has been with Central Bank since 1982 and has held position in Retail and Loan Operations. Mrs. Schweitzer currently serves as Loan Services Department Manager, Loan Operations System Data Owner, and Loan Origination System Administratior.

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Schweitzer graduated from Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Family Studies. She later graduated from the Kentucky School of Banking and completed General Banking 1 and 2.

Laura and her husband, Steven, currently reside in Nicholasville and have two children, Lindsey and Ian.

Central Bank is a subsidiary of Central Bancshares Inc., which currently operates a total of 23 full service banking centers, 28 ATMs, two mortgage offices, an insurance agency and an investment office in Bath, Boone, Clark, Fayette, Jefferson, Jessamine, Madison, and Scott counties. As of June 30, 2006, Central Bancshares' total assets were $1.657 billion.
